LEG HEALTH: DELIVERING QUALITY COMMUNITY CARE (30 CREDITS AT LEVEL 3)
COURSE INFORMATION
This education unit is being developed for registered nurses working
in the community.
Stage 1 is currently available.
Stage 1 distance learning includes epidemiology, impact of leg ulcers, anatomy and physiology, risk factors and pathophysiological changes associated with different types of leg ulcer, concept of Leg Clubs and relevance to Government's health agenda, holistic assessment, compression therapy, prevention of leg ulcers.
It requires about 15 hours of study.
Stage 2 is a locally delivered workshop. The aim is to deepen
your understanding of leg health and the role of Leg Clubs in promoting
it. Please not that the Stage 2 workshops are not yet available.

Stage 3 this stage can only be studied after you have completed
