STAGE 3: TUTOR-LED LEARNING ACTIVITIES (ON-LINE)

If you wish to apply for university credits for your Masterclass plus work you need to complete all three stages. Distance learning (Stage 1) and shared learning (Stage 2) are completely free of charge. However a fee is payable for Stage 3 (see Tuition Fees). This takes the form of tutor led activities (on-line via The Forum plus) and a final written assessment. Assessments take varied forms depending on the topic of the Masterclass plus, for example:

• One or more patient care studies
• A reflective journal
• A critical account of an attempt to introduce a change in professional practice
• Description of an activity such as audit - what was learnt and the impact on patient care

If you decide to undertake Stage 3, you are automatically entitled to premium on-line support. This has two components:

• The Forum plus has a bulletin board that is used for peer support and group tutorials. Participants can also communicate privately with their tutor via a post box in The Forum plus.
• Email communication between individuals and their tutors co-ordinated by the Masterclass plus Administrator.
