STAGE 2 : SHARED LEARNING

The shared learning will provide opportunities for a variety of experiences; for example, hearing new information, exchanging views with others, seeing good practice and perhaps learning new skills.

Depending on the topic of the Masterclass plus, the shared learning can be organised in different ways to meet the needs of participants, for example:

• Video / CD-ROM and discussion
• Practical demonstration/practical work
• Problem-solving activities e.g. how to use Masterclass plus to improve patient/client care
• Discussion of case studies

The shared session allows you to gain further PREP/CPD study hours. These vary depending on how long you’re involved in the face-to face activity. The Forum (live bulletin board) is available for those undertaking Stages 1 and 2 and this time can also count towards PREP/CPD.

Stage 1 is normally completed before Stage 2. If you wish to request a Stage 2 shared learning session email the Masterclass plus administrator@masterclassplus.co.uk.

In some cases it may not be practicable to deliver Stage 2 (shared learning) to all parts of the United Kingdom (UK) and in these cases a video may be available (subject to charge).

If you are a nurse, midwife, health visitor or other health care worker residing outside the UK Stages 2 and 3 will not be available to you.
