STAGE 1 : DISTANCE LEARNING

The distance learning is completely free of charge and will be available in two formats - either a two-colour 32-page booklet and/or formatted material available for download from the web site.

For most education units the distance learning is about 5000 words, but some units have a larger distance learning component. Depending on the topic of the Masterclass plus, the material can cover content such as key concepts and definitions; epidemiology; professional, legal and ethical issues; pharmacology; anatomy and physiology; pathophysiology.

The distance learning is written in a friendly, informative style and includes learning activities which help you to make links with practice, draw on your professional experience and document your learning for the purposes of PREP/CPD. The references include some sources that are accessible from a nursing library.

Included in the distance learning pack will be information about The Forum bulletin board, how to find out about the availability of local shared learning (if applicable) and what you need to achieve in order to gain university credits.
